For years I was in so much pain in my head, neck and shoulders I would cry and have trouble sleeping.
After seeing me in so much agony, a friend recommended I see Ping at Authentic Eastern health L.L.C. I called and was very fortunate to get an appointment within the hour. That was almost 1 year ago and I have been without pain for almost as long. Ping has been amazing – I’ve had the traditional acupressure as well as cupping and both have worked wonders. My neck moves freely and I can’t even remember the last time I struggled with a debilitating headache. I am so grateful to my friend for her referral and very thankful and grateful to Ping and Elaine for their caring attitudes as well as their incredible abilities.

I suffered from neck and shoulder pain and stiffness for over 10 years. Doctors told me that nothing short of surgery would help and advised me to take medication. Thanks to Ping and the Eastern practice of acupressure, I no longer take any pain medicines and have full range of motion once again.
Recently, doctors detected an abnormality on my annual mammogram. Ping used her massaging techniques to release the flow of liver chi. She massage on my leg close to ankle area and showed to my how to massage by myself. On the 6-month follow-up, the mammogram was completely normal.

My grandmother had Rheumatoid Arthritis especially in her finger joints. When mine started in my fingers some times I can not open my ring finger. I looked for a natural cure because I try to avoid medicines and their potential bad side effects. Ping massaged my hand with a special technique. She put her hand in a liquid flame and brings heat back to my hand. Now after just a few treatments I have full use of my hand without pain. Amazing. Thank you Ping.

My name is Irene and I have been under the care of Ping Zhao for approximately eight weeks.
I have been impressed with her professional attitude as well as her knowledge of the human body. Her pleasant demeanor is but one of several reasons that I look forward to my next visit. Ping's positive and encouraging words often carry me through the week.
I have been living with scoliosis and other back problems most of my adult life; however I am never ceased to be amazed at Ping's expertise in this field.
I, therefore, would encourage any one who suffers from chronic pain to explore possibilities with Ping.

In the fall of 2003, I began a journey which, thankfully, led me to Ping Zhao. It was then that I began to experience some difficulty with the lumbar area of my back. It became increasingly difficult to get up from a prone position, and I found that I had to roll to my side in order to arise from a bed. There were some days when my muscles throughout my back were so tight that I could hardly even walk, and when I did, I walked with the gait of a very old woman. Sometimes I would begin to stand from a seated position, and I had could not unbend my back. This is not what one would consider normal for a 39 year old.
All medical exams and tests (there were many!) pointed to osteoarthritis. The relief my primary care doctor suggested was physical therapy and the medications Celebrex and Flexeril. I was raised to believe that my body was made to heal itself, if given the right opportunity. For this reason, the physical therapy sounded fine, but I resisted the medication. The physical therapy sometimes brought relief, but, as often as not, it seemed to make things worse. For the times when I couldn't sleep because of the pain, I began to take Advil. This grew into a nightly regimen, and I was becoming worried about its effect on my stomach. I began to look elsewhere for help."
The next part of my journey took me to water aerobic classes at the Bethlehem YMCA, an MD/DO who focuses on herbal and dietary treatments in Trexlertown, a Natural doctor in Easton, a massage therapist, and a natural food store owner who encouraged me to try a diet based on my blood type. I lost weight, worried my family, gained some relief, but still wasn't satisfied. Then one day I was reading the Morning Call and saw an article about Ping. The article said that she was opening an office on Brodhead Road, which is not far from my home. I decided to give her a try.
I began to go to Ping for acupressure. Slowly I began to experience relief. Ping encouraged me to attend one of her Tai Chi classes. I had always been physically active but found it almost impossible to be so at that time. I hoped that Tai Chi would be a way to exercise that wouldn't irritate my arthritis.
I took my first Tai Chi class in January of 2005. The slow stretching was just what my body needed. I believe that the movement of the qi also helped my body to regain mobility, not only in my back, but also in my shoulder. It wasn't long before I could easily walk 1 to 2 miles and I was no longer taking Advil to be able to sleep at night. I continue to try to do at least one of the Tai Chi routines I learned from Ping every day. I also receive acupressure treatments about once every 3 weeks. There are still times when stress or overworking my back can take a toll, and I begin to have difficulty moving easily. However, I have learned that if I stop and do some Tai Chi a few times a day, things quickly improve and I am mobile once again. I do not see my journey continuing without Ping being a part of it.

When Ping asked me if I would do a testimony for her I immediately said YES!
However I found I have too much to say. First off I would like to say that this is the best I have felt in a number of years. I've always gone to chiropractors, but the adjustment would only hold for a little bit. In December I was seeing a chiropractor and still wasn't feeling any better, I decided to see Ping. My husband has been going to her for a number of years.
I have always had low back pain. If I moved the wrong way, sat the wrong way, stood for too long, walked too long my back would hurt.
Since I've been seeing Ping I feel MUCH better. My knees also bothered me, now they also feel good. For about 2 years I would just about crawl up the steps at night, now I can actually run up the steps! Once in awhile I still get a twinge of pain but it doesn't last long at all.
I have more energy, I don't fall asleep in the middle of the day like I used to. Bottom line is I feel good!! It really is because of seeing Ping. I did not feel this good when seeing a chiropractor.
Back in February I developed sciatica, it was terribly painful. I had my doubts if Ping was going to be able to "fix" me. When I went to her I asked her if she sees many people with sciatica and she said yes. Just one session with her working on me brought relief, I truly was floored. I am no longer bothered by sciatica. I know so many people who have shots in their back for sciatica and other back pain. I'm very much afraid of needles and so that is not an option for me. Also, over the years I've taken Bextra, Vioxx, and yes they helped a little bit, but the pain came back, and now they've pulled these two drugs, among others off the market.
As for my low back, I am now able to do so many more things. I can do simple things like bending down without being afraid that my back is going to go out. I can stand for longer periods of time and do cooking, which I enjoy.
After seeing family and friends taking drugs for arthritis and other ailments, I decided that I didn't want to take drugs, from drugs come side affects, and then it's taking more drugs to combat the side affects, it becomes a merry-go-round. I buy herbs from Ping and they really do work - after all many drugs are derived from nature/plants.
If someone would have told me that when I'm in my fifties that I would be seeing an Acupressure, taking vitamins and herbs rather then pills I would have said they were crazy.
I find Ping to be a truly amazing woman. She can look at your tongue and tell you what is going on in your body and she can also tell you what is wrong by feeling where the chi (energy) is blocked in your body. How many times have you gone to your medical doctor and you tell him it hurts here or there, and they don't know what it is, but they'll send you for test after test and sometimes the tests don't reveal anything either.
If you've tried doctors and chiropractors and you still have pain, come see Ping, her methods might be a little bit different then what you are used to but Chinese medicine has been around much longer then Western medicine.
Honestly, I never thought I would be seeing someone like Ping to get rid of my aches and pains, but I'm truly glad I do.

I have been suffering for a long time with severe shoulder pain. As I have grown older, the pain has increased in intensity and duration. I have seen doctors, been referred to physical therapists, neurologists and orthopedists, and had numerous painkillers, anti-inflammatory agents and muscles relaxants prescribed, all to no avail. I was just about at my wit's end when I was referred to Ping by a very good friend of mine.
I have to admit to being somewhat nervous when I arrived at Ping's office for the appointment. I wondered if she would really be able to help when so many other others had failed before. Ping quickly put me at ease with her friendly and competent manner. By the end of the first session I felt substantially better--yes, there was still a mild ache, but the awful pain was gone.
I was amazed! I had received more relief in one single 45 minute session than I had in a year of PT. Ping said it would take two more sessions to properly heal my shoulder, and I was very happy to schedule those follow up appointments! The benefits of that first session lasted the entire week until my next appointment. After the second session, all that remained of the pain was just a very mild discomfort. In another week I had my third treatment, and that left me feeling 100% better--there was not even the mildest discomfort remaining.
Ping is truly a miracle worker. My only regret is not finding out about her years ago.

Working with Ping to heal my back over the past two years has led me to a better understanding of how to improve my general health. She has taught me how to maintain a healthy balance of energy and exercise to prevent not only muscle tightness in my back, but disease and discomforts as well.
Ping's acupressure therapy relieved my back pain and muscle spasms when all else had failed. In just a few sessions, my energy was restored and I learned how to relax my muscles to achieve a new level of vitality. Special cupping sessions treated acute pain immediately and her suggestions to practice some parts of Tai Chi allowed me more overall flexibility.
I have fewer headaches and dizzy spells now thanks to herbal crèmes and learning about critical pressure points for inner ear stability and neck mobility. Magnetic therapy helps to maintain my flexibility and relieve minor arthritic pain without the use of medications and risk of liver trauma.
I have found that Acupressure and herbal therapy is a wonderful way to supplement normal medical needs. Ping Zhao and her 30 years of experience are helping me to lead a better life through the use of natural methods to relieve stress, pain, and the normal discomforts of aging.
